Beach Hotel Map – Build History (4/7)

Here, we have tons of work taking place on the town outskirts, exiting roads and highways, and final touches to the hotel grounds!

More Robust Work In The Southern Outskirts

Upon completing the southern highway entrance, work moved to the coast nearby, in a small but empty patch of land. A boat ramp park was built on the coast side of the bypassing road, allowing people to move boats in and out of the water, also with recreational services.

On the other side of the road, a neighboring park was built too, with a large lake (in the form of a mysterious creature :P), tennis court, and robust flower garden. A tunnel was also built to connect the two parks, running under the road.

  • Boat ramp itself was first part to be constructed.

Back In The Northern Outskirts

Towards March 2018, the same terraforming process that was done in the southern outskirts was now being done in the north. The land surrounding the highway in this area was given its unique version of vegetative decorations and illuminated trees on the hills. And again, the same “Welcome sign was placed at the core.

  • Start of conversion. One side of highway gets fully demolished.

A road going along the coast in this area was also partially built, though not connected with the town or any highway exits. Eventually, though, the northern outskirts highway exit was built as the first exit where a road runs above the highway. From here, the coastal road was connected to the highway, though not to the town yet.

  • Start of construction of road C98, going along coast on north side of town.

More Roadwork

In June 2018, a highway exit was added on the north side of the town’s river. From there, the crossing road was connected to one of the existing roundabouts in the town center.

Then, the highway exit on the other side of the river was renovated, now having a two-lane road crossing instead of just one.

  • Start of construction of road C98, going towards north side of town.

Finishing Up The Hotel Grounds

In November 2018, ambitions to finish the hotel grounds as soon as possible were strong. A new plan was made to make an underground tunnel to connect the hotel parking lot with the hotel building directly.

A tunnel was built deep underground, going from the 3rd parking floor below the ground to the Part 2 elevator area, with various art on the walls. The elevator shafts and stairs were extended downwards so they could connect underground.

  • Start of construction by extending elevator shafts and stairs.

Next up was building the outdoor pool area, going with a square-like pattern. The main pool was built first, with four corners, consisting of a kid’s pool, hot spa, submerged bar, and a machine room (yes, a boring thing to mention). Many beach chairs were placed around the pool along with shaded seating tables in the outer corners.

  • First brainstorming of design of pool area.

Afterward, the Sunset Beach Restaurant & Bar was built. Building the first floor was easy since only some seating, a dance stage, and a small outdoor terrace were built. The second floor, however, took more work, as the bar and kitchen had to be laid out properly. An outdoor balcony was also built, partially covered by a rooftop.

Close to its completion, the surrounding beaches were massively extended outward, giving much more room to build structures along the beaches, making the slopes even more realistic. It was a tedious task, taking several hours.

From here, shaded seating was placed on the beach, along with a beach bar. Various stationary umbrellas were also placed around the area, along with washing stations.
