Hello! You’ve come to a great place, so be prepared to be amazed and inspired from what you’re about to see.
Since March 2014, on and off, I’ve been working on a Minecraft map containing a “floating” beach hotel building along with its surrounding town area. The intention was for the hotel to be something like a “cruise ship imitation” but placed on top of a bay with beaches and other attractions around it. The surrounding area is meant to be a subtropical town bordering temperate and semi-arid climate zones, meant to be very warm in the summer and cool in the winter.
On this page, you’ll find links to other pages in each of the three sections below. Firstly, the core features and highlights of the world will be revealed. Second, an elaborate explanation of the map’s build and design history will be given. Finally, an outlook for this map’s future will be given. Enjoy the show!
Features and Highlights
Before we get our hands dirty, let’s quickly break down how the world is laid out. It consists of the Beach Hotel Building, its surrounding hotel grounds, and the surrounding town area.
All three of these areas are showcased in the three pages below:
Build History
There’s a lot to mention about the build process of this map. Plans have changed drastically over time, with various structures being renovated or rebuilt due to design changes.
The entire build history is split into seven pages, each representing fairly distinct eras in the build process:
Future Outlook
Despite the map having so many features and details, there’s still a lot of work left to call it complete. In this section, various plans on how this map will be polished and shared will be revealed. You can access the section content by following the link below:
